A. Prerequisites

  • Have received an email containing your Progression account information:

    • The link to your account;

    • A valid username;

    • The password associated with this user. 

  • Have a working AcombaX server.

  • Have the AcombaX client application installed on your workstation.

  • Have an AcombaX user account and password.

  • Have the AcombaX server address if it is installed on a remote computer. (Optional)

B. Installation Procedure

    1. Download the following file:http://plive.ca/acombax/ProgressionAcombaXSetup.zip.

    2. Open the downloaded file.

    3. Double-click on the "setup" application to start the installation program.

  • Click "Next" to accept terms of use.


Confirmation window

  • Click "Next" to confirm installation of Progression - AcombaX Web Service.


Installation folder window

  • Modify the installation folder by clicking on "Browse."(Optional)

  • Click on "Next".


            

Change authorization window

  • The message "Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to the computer?" is displayed.

  • Click on "yes."


   

Window: Installation complete

  • Click on "Close."

*Once the installation is complete, the Progression- AcombaX Web Service software starts automatically. 



C. Opening the Software

Open Progression- AcombaX Web Service for the first time.
*The configuration assistant starts automatically.

      

  • Configure the Progression server.

               1. Enter the address to access Progression

                   The ".progressionlive.com" section is added automatically.

               2. Enter your Progression username.

               3. Enter the password associated with your user.

               4. Click on "Validate" to verify that the configuration is valid. (Optional)

               5. Click on "Next".

           


  • Configure the AcombaX server.

               1. Enter the path to the AcombaX server. (Optional)
                   By default, the value entered is that of a server installed locally.
               2. Enter your AcombaX username.
               3. Enter the password associated with your  AcombaX user.
               4. Click on the arrow to see the list of companies available on the AcombaX server.
               5. Select the right company.
               6. Click on "Validate". (Optional)
               7. Click on "End".
                   The synchronization agent will update your data in the Progression server.

* If you use another user than "supervisor" to configure the synchronization agent, it is important that you do not use this same user to log into AcombaX.



Congratulations, the synchronization agent is now operational.




D. Synchronization Agent Window: Content

  • Updates are performed automatically.
    By default:

    • Invoices are imported every hour;

    • Clients are synchronized daily at noon;

    • Products are synchronized daily at noon;


  • The date and time of the updates appear next to the items Invoices, Clients and Products.

  • You can perform updates manually using the buttons "Import into AcombaX" and "Export to Progression".
    The icons indicate the status of these updates: The white check mark in a green circle indicates that the update has been completed.

    • The "Synchronize All" button allows you to force an update of all items (invoices, clients and products).

  • The "Status" section indicates whether the synchronization agent and data transfer are operational as well as the status of the connection with the Progression account.


  • The "Configuration" button allows you to change your connexion configuration with Progression and AcombaX.
